Ready to learn what your Pace 5268 Wi-Fi Gateway lights mean?

The power status lights on your Wi-Fi® gateway indicate:
• Green: The gateway is powered on.
• Flashing Green: The gateway is starting.
• Amber: There’s a software update in progress. Don’t unplug the gateway or remove the battery until the update completes.
• Red: The gateway or power supply may be malfunctioning. Try rebooting your gateway to fix it.

What do these lights mean on the Pace 5268 Wi-Fi gateway?

Status light	State	Meaning
Power	Green	The power is on.
	Flashing Green	The gateway is starting.
	Amber	There’s a software update in progress. Don’t unplug the power or remove the battery until the update is complete.
	Red	The gateway or power supply may be malfunctioning.

Status light	State	Meaning
Battery	Green	The battery is installed, but the gateway isn’t currently using battery power.
	Flashing Green	The battery is charging.
	Red	The battery backup is faulty.
	Flashing Red	The battery should be replaced.
	Amber	The gateway is using battery power.
	Flashing Amber	The battery power is low.
	Off	No battery is installed, or the battery isn’t charged.

Status light	State	Meaning
Ethernet	Green	A computer or other device is connected to an Ethernet port.
Ethernet	Flickering Green	There is activity from devices connected to an Ethernet port. The flickering of the light is synchronized to data traffic.

Status light	State	Meaning
Wi-Fi	Green	A computer or other device is wirelessly connected to the gateway.
Wi-Fi	Flickering Green	There is activity from devices connected using a wireless connection. The flickering of the light represents data traffic.

Status light	State	Meaning
Home PNA	Green	A set-top box or other device is connected to the coaxial port.
Home PNA	Flickering Green	There is activity from devices connected to the coaxial port. The flickering of the light is synchronized to data traffic.

Status light	State	Meaning
Phone 1 & 2	Green	A phone is connected and registered.
Phone 1 & 2	Flashing Green	The associated phone line is active.

Status light	State	Meaning
Broadband 1 & 2	Green	The gateway is connected to our network.
	Flashing Green	The gateway is trying to connect to our network.
	Flashing Green and Red	The gateway has been trying to connect to our network for more than three minutes.
	Flashing Red	The gateway can't connect to our network, or isn’t detecting a DSL signal.

Status light	State	Meaning
Service	Green	The gateway has obtained an IP address from our network. The connection is active.
	Fast flashing Green	The gateway is trying to obtain an IP address.
	Slow flashing Green	Our network isn’t responding, the gateway is incorrectly configured, or there’s an authentication failure.
	Red	Internet service authentication has failed.
