Ready to learn what your Pace 5031 Wi-Fi Gateway lights lights mean?

The power status lights on your Wi-Fi® gateway indicate:
• Green: The gateway is powered on.
• Flashing Green: The gateway is starting.
• Orange: There’s a software update in progress. Don’t unplug the gateway or remove the battery until the update completes.
• Red: The gateway or power supply may be malfunctioning. Try rebooting your gateway to fix it.

What do these lights mean on the Pace 5031 Wi-Fi gateway?

Status light	State	Meaning
Power	Solid Green	The power is on.
	Flashing Green	The gateway is starting.
	Orange	Software update is in progress. Do not disconnect power until the update is complete.
	Red	The gateway or power supply may be malfunctioning.

Status light	State	Meaning
Ethernet	Solid Green	A computer or other device is connected to an Ethernet port.
Ethernet	Flickering Green	There is activity from devices connected to an Ethernet port. The flickering of the light is synchronized to data traffic.

Status light	State	Meaning
Wireless	Solid Green	A computer or other device is connected to the gateway using a wireless connection.
Wireless	Flickering Green	There is activity from devices connected using a wireless connection. The flickering of the light is synchronized to data traffic.

Status light	State	Meaning
Phone 1 & 2	Solid Green	A phone is connected and registered.
Phone 1 & 2	Flashing Green	The associated phone line is active.

Status light	State	Meaning
Broadband	Solid Green	The gateway is connected to the provider network.
	Flashing Green	The gateway is trying to connect to the service provider network. The light might flash for a few moments while the gateway connects.
	Flashing Green and Red	The gateway has been trying to connect to the service provider network for more than three minutes.
	Flashing Red	The gateway cannot connect to service provider network or no DSL signal is detected.

Status light	State	Meaning
Service	Solid Green	The gateway has obtained an IP address from the service provider network. The broadband connection is up and active.
	Fast Flashing Green	The gateway is attempting to obtain an IP address.
	Slow Flashing Green	The service provider network is not responding, the gateway has been configured incorrectly, or there was an authentication failure.
	Red	Internet service authentication has failed.
