McaFee Windows version support
The AT&T Website says that McaFee Internet Security suite supports Windows up to version 8.X. Which is not true - I was informed via chat that Windows 8.1 is NOT supported. Windows 8.1 is not exactly new since Windows 10 is already out. I don't have access to Windows 8. When will support for Windows 8.1 (and how about all those new Windows 10 users out there!) be available?
Â
In the meanwhile, what am I supposed to do?
Â
Perhaps AT&T can supply a standalone copy of McaFee Internet Suite (that, BTW, DOES currently support Windows up to version 10)Â to those of us who will now no longer have virus secutity software. Or can we purchase some other virus software product and be reimbursed, or credited by AT&T to our account?

(ROFL) Â I'm sorry. your post gave me a chuckle...
Okay, McAffee is the ONLY one who can privide support for their program.
ALL ATT really does, is provide a compimentary user licence valad, as long as you are an active ATT customer.
With that licence, you can download and install a copy of McAffee's software, thru the download link from ATT's site.
Personally, I don't care for McAffe, but I also have nothing against it either.Â
The program should work with ALL windows operating systems, incliuding the windows 8 point whatever..
ANY issues you have with McAffee, you should be asking McAffee about, NOT ATT.
Â
ATT sells an internet service connection, and as a benifit to their customers who desire such, offer the malware link mentioned above.
THEY (ATT) are in NO way obligated to provide any type of malware protections for your system. That is all on you.
Â
There are many protection options out there, some free, others, you pay for. Again, all on you.
Â
Sorry you are having issues with installing your mcaffee.. Â I HOPE mcaffee can troubleshoot your system issues and get you running. Â Â
Your comment on win 8 point whatever not being supported is the first time I have EVER heard that said. But again, and I hate to sound like a broken record, Â McAffee with have to be the ones to make you right.
Â
I am another ATT customer, and I spaek only for myself.
On the other hand, I read a lot, and learned a few things, so what I say should be right.
Â
In any case, good luck, and I hope you get your McAffee running.
Â
P.S. found this link that may be of help to you... http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?lc=1033&id=TS102277
