McAfee Performance
Is there a chance that AT&T will discontinue offering McAfee Internet Security software and go with a better performing product? Before I moved, I was using Comcast and their internet security was provided by Norton which performed flawlessly. My new neighborhood is only serviced by AT&T U-verse so I was forced to switch. Since installing McAfee, my browser (I use IE and Firefox) performance slowed down quite significantly. I know McAfee has had performance issues in the past and hoped that it had gotten better but it looks like it is still an abysmal product. I am seriously considering uninstalling McAfee and switching to Norton, Bit Defender or any other internet security product. Anybody else have any issues with McAfee?

Hi @ginouye33
I wouldn't use either Norton or McAfee.

McAfee is just plain terrible in my opinion. Norton lets a lot of stuff through.

Many of the free versions of the following are better than the paid version of McAfee:
Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG , BitDefender, Avast, and Avira

Thanks D...I agree with you. I used Norton before and found it just ok but its performance is far more superior than McAfee. I heard good comments about BitDefender and will switch to this.
