McAfee Internet Security Suite
I am trying to install the Internet Security suite provided to AT&T customers. I go to www.att.net/iss website. Clicked on download. The website asked me for my att username and password. Then it takes me to the system requirements page. I am on a Mac laptop. The minimum system requirements state that you need to be on Mac OS 10.6 or higher. I currently have Mac Os 10.12.4. Yet it won't let me download the program because its stating that i need an operating system upgrade. so the download button is greyed out. Can someone advise me on what to do? I have the latest operating system from Mac, iv checked for all updates. Everything is fine. Not sure what to do next. Ive called both AT&T and McAfee and they both blame each other and tell me to contact the other. I have been on the phone with both companies for over 2 hours going back and forth.

I just went through the exact same thing - and still fighting it. AT&T Tech support transferred me to McAfee, after AT&T said they fully understood the issue and that McAfee needed to activate my account. 10 minutes later on the phone with McAfee - they told me I need to call AT&T Billing Dept and ask them to activate "McAfee ISS" on my account. I will have to call them back tomorrow because the billing office is already closed for today.
...stay tuned.

FINALLY GOT MINE WORKING!!! After multiple calls to multiple departments. The key is to tell them you cannot download the AT&T McAfee ISS software. They will ask you if you're having problems installing but be sure and tell them you cannot even download it to begin. My tech was having to chat with some back-end engineers that had to perform a resynch on my account ID. He said it was related to some kind of mismatch in the system. I wish I had a direct number for you to call to get yours resolved but I eventually went back to the billing department (for the 3rd time) and explained my problem and they transferred me to level 2 tech support. Just do not let them transfer you to McAfee as it is NOT a McAfee problem.

Came in to find my computer had restarted. Logged in thinking it was a simple software update only to get a BSOD saying critical process stopped. Couldn't find anything to really narrow down what might be wrong but I thought I would try the troubleshooting tool since I had an issue with McAfee a few months ago. Sure enough, it tells me there are issues so I try to fix them and get another crash. I uninstalled the security suite and computer ran fine for almost an hour after crashing every 5-10 minutes. Thought maybe with the uninstall it would have removed the corrupted file so I reinstalled and sure enough the computer crashed again. Now I am just running windows defender antivirus and so far no crashing again.
Win 10, btw.
